Role in PSI:

My role is to serve as PSI’s President until June of 2012.

Bio:

Lucy Puryear is a psychiatrist in private practice specializing in women’s reproductive mental health and a clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is known nationally for her participation in the Andrea Yates trial and retrial. She has made numerous appearances in the national media speaking about women’s mental health issues. She has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Prime Time Live. She is the author of ”Understanding Your Emotions When You’re Expecting: Emotions, Mental Health, and Happiness–Before, During, and After Pregnancy”. Lucy received her BS in Nursing from Baylor University and her MD from Baylor College of Medicine.
