This page lists the PSI Support Coordinators and other area resources such as groups, telephone support, and reliable services that are available for no charge. We also list local events, trainings, and volunteer opportunities.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PSI SUPPORT COORDINATOR: PSI Coordinators are volunteers who offer caring and informed support and resources to moms and their families. They also provide information and resources for area providers who are caring for pregnant and postpartum families. Your area coordinators are listed below. CONNECTICUT SUPPORT GROUPS

The following groups offer support at no charge for women who are at risk of or are experiencing distress such as isolation, depression, anxiety, fearful thoughts, insomnia, trauma, and other difficulties during pregnancy or postpartum. Support groups provide a safe and caring place for connection and recovery. Please call or email for more information.

The Baby Blues and/or Postpartum Depression and Anxiety Group
Join other new or expectant mothers in a group where you can get support and share similar experiences. You may be feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, guilty, irritable or even numb at a time that is supposed to be “wonderful”.  Support groups can greatly improve symptoms and reduce feelings of isolation.  Meetings are FREE and are 1 hour/week for four weeks on an ongoing basis. Facilitated by a licensed clinical psychologist.

Postpartum Support Group Flyer

Life After Baby: Navigating the Fourth Trimester & Beyond: Support group on the first and third Thursdays of every month 5-6:30pm at the Branford Recreation Department on 46 Church Street in Branford.  A fee of $5 is charged.  Facilitated by Kerry Haynes, BSW and mother of two, 203-488-8304 or www.brandfordrecreation.org.   Join us for an open forum to discuss changes during the post partum period. Topics include: sleep, family and life adjustments, support related to raising a baby and other relevant topics. Children are always welcome.
