I don’t know what kind of mother I am. I don’t fit a mold. I don’t fit an idea. I don’t fit a book, article, or status. The definitions of who I am, how I mother, and how I partner change on a daily basis.

I don’t know what kind of mother you are. You don’t fit a mold. You don’t fit an idea. You don’t fit a book, article, or status. The definitions of who you are, how you mother, and how you partner change on a daily basis.

You don’t know what kind of mother she is. She doesn’t fit a mold. She doesn’t fit an idea. She doesn’t fit a book, article, or status. The definitions of who she is, how she mothers, and how she partners change on a daily basis.

We do not fit in any one category on any one day or any stretch of days. We are doing damage to ourselves and the idea of motherhood by wanting or needing to FIT into any one thing.

Be everything if you want to today. Be none of it if you want to today.

I’m going to be myself, whatever that is, for today. I am in motion.
