Tiffany is the Director of Education & Outreach for Mental Health America of Greater Houston. At MHA, Tiffany is currently responsible for the management of education and training programs. She oversees professional training for medical, mental health and social service professionals, as well as community education and outreach. Tiffany also works part-time at the Houston Area Women’s Center in providing hospital accompaniment services to sexual assault and domestic violence survivors.
Tiffany is the 2017 Governor’s Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award recipient for her work in providing mental health education in state jails and prisons in Texas. Tiffany currently sits on the City of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s LGBT Task Force and she is a Board member of the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center in San Antonio.
Tiffany is a certified trainer in Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), and a Community Health Worker Instructor.
Outside of work, Tiffany is a community activist for social justice issues. You can find her marching in the streets or on the capitol steps advocating for the rights of those who are disenfranchised. Tiffany lives by the quote of Audre Lorde “I am deliberate and afraid of nothing.”
Tiffany has a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology from The University of Houston-Downtown and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin.Return to List
