Christopher Thompson is the Director of Development for Postpartum Support International. In this role he is responsible for establishing the strategy, program initiatives, and stewardship of major donors, including individuals and corporations. Christopher recently served as Chief Development Officer of the Interfaith Center of New York, where he successfully designed and implemented a multi-year development plan.
His passion for postpartum advocacy was created by the surprisingly lack of information and support available when his wife suffered with postpartum depression after the birth of their second child.
Christopher has done extensive humanitarian work in the Ukraine, the Philippines, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and Haiti. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology and English from St. John’s University. He is Lean Six Sigma Certified, trained in the DMAIC approach, a data-driven improvement cycle used for improving, optimizing and stabilizing business processes and designs. He is extremely excited to be a part of the PSI family.
