Laura Sirulnik, MD, is a board certified Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, a graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College and a former gynecologist. She is a bilingual (Spanish/English) Attending Psychiatrist at Columbia University’s New York State Psychiatric Institute, where she both assists the chronically and severely ill population of Washington Heights and teaches and supervises medical students, psychiatry residents, social workers and psychologists.
Dr. Sirulnik serves as a consultant psychiatrist at the Motherhood Center of New York, where she sees patients for consultations and second opinions. At her private practice, Dr. Sirulnik offers a broad array of mental health services to women, focusing on psychiatric conditions related to fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause.
Dr. Sirulnik graduated from medical school in Argentina in 1989, where she completed her training as a gynecologist in 1994. She then completed her residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2008, where she obtained her expertise in reproductive psychiatry. Dr. Sirulnik’s publications focused on the idiosyncrasies of the mental health issues of Latin women and the severely ill.Return to List
