Lisa Zeitlin, LCSW, MSW, MPH, PMH-C
Hotline Clinical Supervisor
Lisa joined Postpartum Support International (PSI) as a Helpline Volunteer and the Perinatal Support and Crisis Specialist, and is currently the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline Clinical Supervisor. As the Clinical Supervisor, Lisa provides direct support to Hotline Counselors, provides training and supervision, and develops and supervises crisis response protocols.
Lisa discovered PSI while working as a clinical social worker in the OB/NICU/Antepartum departments of an acute care hospital. Hoping to find the most comprehensive and supportive perinatal mental health resources to provide to patients at bedside, it was clear PSI was that source. At that time, Lisa was concurrently working as a Trauma Therapist providing individual and group therapy for survivors of interpersonal and gender-based violence while also serving as a Counselor for the Los Angeles Rape and Battering Hotline.
Lisa is trained in various modalities and acquired certifications including Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the Treatment of Trauma (Level I), trauma-informed yoga, birth doula educational training through DONA, Screening Brief Intervention Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) through The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and Mental Health First Aid.
Lisa graduated from the University of South Carolina and currently holds a dual masters in Social Work (MSW) and Public Health (MPH). During her time at UofSC, Lisa held the position of President of the Social Work Honor Society (Phi Alpha) and was published in the Journal of Teaching in Social Work. She received multiple scholarships including The Training for Transitions (TFT) Preparedness for Behavioral Health Social Work Scholars through the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). She is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional. (PMH-C).
Lisa’s passion is supporting individuals and families who are experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Personally, Lisa enjoys spoiling and loving her senior rescue puppy Shadow, spending time with her family and best friend, and taking in a Los Angeles Dodger game.
