PSI Statement on Perinatal Psychosis-Related Tragedies 2023

Perinatal psychosis occurs approximately 1-2 of 1000 births, although occasionally psychosis can begin during pregnancy or after pregnancy loss, most often begin within the first 2 weeks after birth, and might include delusions, hallucinations, delirium, and paranoia.
