Sarah Kotranza has been a peer advocate in the perinatal mental health space since 2013. She has led multiple Climb Out of the Darkness events, presented at new mom groups, was one of the founding members of her local perinatal mental health coalition, and has participated in multiple lobby days on a state and national level. Her work in advocacy led her away from her engineering background to earn her Masters of Public Health from George Washington University in June 2020. She is passionate about improving the legislative and legal landscape for families experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. She currently lives in North Central Florida with her husband, child, and dog.
